How NogenTech handles your data across the NogenTech Content Intelligence product and marketing site.
Effective date: August 6, 2026
Who we are
NogenTech operates the NogenTech Content Intelligence product and the marketing site at nogentech.com. NogenTech is based in Pakistan and is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact [email protected].
Scope
This policy covers the authenticated product (accounts, analyses, reports, and credits) and the public marketing site, including the free tools and the contact form. It does not cover third-party websites you may reach through links we publish.
Data we collect
Account data — your name, email address, and an encrypted (hashed) password or the identifier from your sign-in method.
Article content and reference URLs — the text you submit for analysis and any URL you provide as context.
Reports and evidence excerpts — the readiness reports we generate, which store short, article-local excerpts as evidence rather than your full article.
Credits and usage records — analysis submissions, and the append-only ledger that records credit balances and usage.
Authentication and session data — session and security records needed to keep you signed in and protect your account.
Contact and support messages — the name, email, and message you send through the contact form or by email.
Technical and log data — IP address, device and browser information, and request logs generated by our hosting and CDN provider for security and reliability.
How we use your data
Provide content-readiness analysis and produce your reports.
Create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
Record and reconcile credits and usage for billing integrity.
Respond to support requests and contact-form messages.
Secure the product, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
Send essential service and security communications.
How we handle submitted content
You submit article content for analysis and we process it to generate a readiness report. We do not write or rewrite your content, and we do not crawl external sites — a referenced URL is reference-only. Reports store short, article-local excerpts as evidence, not the full article body, and the full submission is retained only as needed to produce and reproduce the analysis. We do not sell your content.
Legal bases
Where data-protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply to you, we rely on these bases: performance of our contract with you (to provide the product), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service and prevent abuse), your consent (where we ask for it), and compliance with legal obligations.
Sub-processors and data recipients
We use a small set of vendors to run the product. Each processes only the data needed for its function:
Managed database host — stores accounts, credits, analyses, and reports (our system of record).
Anthropic — runs the language-model analysis of your submitted article content.
DataForSEO — provides SERP research (keyword and competitor signals) used to score certain dimensions.
Resend — delivers transactional email, including verification, security, and contact-form messages.
Hosting and CDN provider — serves the product and marketing site and keeps security and reliability logs.
Merchant-of-record billing provider — when paid billing is enabled, this provider is the seller of record and processes purchase data. Paid billing is not currently enabled.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
International transfers
Some of our sub-processors operate outside Pakistan. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the vendor's standard contractual clauses and security commitments — as required by applicable law.
Cookies and local storage
We use only the essential cookies and session storage needed to sign you in and keep the product secure. Your theme preference is stored locally in your browser. The marketing site uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics from our CDN provider to measure traffic. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
Retention and deletion
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated content by emailing [email protected]. Credit-ledger entries are append-only and retained as financial records for integrity; corrections are made by audited adjustments, never by rewriting history. Encrypted backups are retained on a rolling schedule and expire over time. Submitted content and reports are retained to reproduce your analyses and are removed when you delete your account, subject to backup expiry.
Security
We protect data in transit with HTTPS/TLS, store passwords using one-way hashing, and limit access to production systems on a least-privilege basis. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly to any issue.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, object to, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. Where a supervisory authority oversees data protection in your region, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with it.
Children
The product is intended for professional use and is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
Data breach notification
If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law, without undue delay.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
